6770 to 6970 upgrade

Hey guys. So, i've been playing the witcher 3 on my current 6770. Now, my pc is pretty crappy with a core 2 duo and 4gigs of ram but ive been capable of playing the game at 20-30fps on lower res. Do you think an upgrade from the hd 6770 to a 6970 for ~100€ would make a significant difference? Thanks for your help in advance.

There just isn't that much difference. What you need is a new system. The Core2 Duo is not very powerful and is bottlenecking the GPU, which is still decent. Get a Haswell Pentium/i3 or Athlon X4 860K/FX-6300 system with new RAM and an SSD and you will see noticeable improvement even with the same card.

Thing is i simply dont have the money. A few things im considering is upgrading to 8gb ram or a core 2 quad seeing as it is end of life cheap. Upgrading my mobo and a processor at the same time would be too expensive if going for anything decent.

Well, I am not sure about exchange rates but 100 USD will get you a Pentium system or Athlon system.

Could you point me in the right direction? If a mobo and a quad with at least 3ghz cpu would be 100$(95€) that would be an affordable setup.

would that be a good and compatible setup that wouldnt bottlwneck my gpu? Also would it be possible to crossfire an hd 6770 and an hd 3870 on another note?
