Greetings, I recently bought a second hand CPU and two new cpu fan for my laptop and I have a huge thermal problem i did both test different cpu but the result was the same temps. But the problem is that my GPU is running at 45 C idle and 72 while gaming.I have removed the botton plastic cover and i have a cooling pad (yes I clean it very often from dust and replace thermal paste every 1-3 months)

specs:
a15HC v1 series motherboard model (chipset hm65)
CPU1: i5-2410m
CPU2: i7-2630qm
GPU:GT540m 2gb

I use my laptop for light gaming (e-sport games like league of legends or CS:GO) and multimedia.
If anyone has any solution please help me.My second question is because I recently discovered about liquid metal and I want to attempt to use it on my laptop but as far as I know is electrically conductive and I want to know if anyone has experience with it.

Thanks a lot and I'm looking forward for answers :)

Nevermind it. I solved it I changed the minimun and maximun CPU power managment to 99% (both) and everything is back to normal 60C idle but I also have a crappy thermal paste but I will get MX5 or try liquid metal.

also tried CORE TEMP v1.11 and there is recorded 52 C and on Speccy 60C tried to play league of legends for about 1 hour and it recorded 90 degrees (with rivatunner on all cores) but it didnt even flinch. No fps drops at all. The laptop top surface was not hot at all.If anyone else has issues with heat in general I think the advanced power plan option might help you.
I recently seen an interesting article about this same issue (HOT cpu in laptops).. IF you google it / watch the youtube video you will see how to fix it properly if you want cooler temps. Basically, it is using the liquid metal cpu paste but you have to be very carful on how you apply the stuff and do a few more things like adding a glue type barrier to the other parts of the CPU and GPU. I plan to do this with a couple laptops I have later.

I already have mutlicore x6 and I have removed the plastic cover for cooling solution and I had about 70 C in full load with i5-2410m. After I inserted the i7-2630qm everything turned upside down. Both cpus are running at 70C idle right now.the only thing I can say is that the sensors are not working properly but I touched the heatsink and it was pretty hot.I wanted to test it with Thermal meter if it is actually hitting 70 C

Doctor Rob.I'm actually afraid to apply liquid metal on a laptop because you know. Both metal both liquid I can't try unless someone else has done the test and worked for month and more.
