Hi there
As I have a gtx 750ti my gpu draws its power from the motherboard.
I was looking to upgrade my gpu to a 1060 6gb and wondered about how i would power the 6-pin connector on the gpu. The only thing is though is that my psu does not have a 6 pin connector coming out of it.
My question is is that if I were to use a 4pin to 6pin molex adapter will it power the gpu appropriately?

550W
And just incase you wanted to know, my cpu is an intel penitum g4400

There is more than just wattage that determines can a psu run a certain card. A rule of thumb is, if your psu doesn't already have a 6-pin cable, it probably can't power the card that requires it and buying an adapter would be a very stupid idea. GTX 750 ti doesn't require very strong psu, it only requires 18A on +12V rail and most of the cheap psus can do that. GTX 1060, however, requires 27A. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, take a picture of your psu's specification and I'll tell you if it can or can't run GTX 1060
