7700k or 7740x?

I'm currently in the market for a new gaming computer and would like to get into streaming eventually (not too hardcore but i'd like to be able to do some). The X299 chipset isn't too much more but I wanted to know if it would be worth the upgrade if I got a 7740x with a lower tier X299 motherboard or a 7700k with a higher end Z270 board?

I'll also be using some G.skill DDR4 3000 memory and an ASUS STRIX 1080 and do plan to overclock some

If you can afford the new x299 setup, wait for i7 8700k and go for it

For streaming the Ryzen 8 cores are king. Get the R7 1700 else your limited to Intels igpu compression settings. The 7740x doesnt have an igpu so streaming with it may be a problem.
