I've got this card on the way from newegg. I'm just wondering where or why there isn't much info about these cards. Are they 'too new' or just not popular. Reason I choose this card is because well i'm building a new computer from the ground up. I'm not waiting on Dx10 or vista (because I think first gen 10 cards will be very expensive...we'll see. Heck I can always throw it the 2nd puter if I get a dx10 card later anyway)

Anyone else own this card? How does it preform on Oblv, HL2, and some other 3d heavy hitters? When I look on the VGA charts I only see GX2's.

Check http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2833&p=1 for benchies. Personally I like the X1900XT 256MB better, it has similar performance and is a little cheaper (plus HDR+AA works only on ATI).

I guess I should have done more homework before the purchase. Anyway the extra ram looked appealing to me in the long run. We'll see. When I get my goods in I'll post my findings here. I'm putting together a:

ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP
2 Gigs of DDR2 800 Ram
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz
eVGA 512-P2-N635-AR Geforce 7950GT 512MB
*and other various pieces of hardware

I'm not really an overclocker but i'm going from a 2.8 P4 and an ATI 9800. Should be fun building another computer - its been quite a while!

Wow got my setup working

142 FPS solid as a rock with everything up all the way in Half life 2 - lost coast
Oblivion runs well also - don't have any formal FPS numbers though
