8+4 pin cpu power connection

Hi.I am upgrading my pc in a few months time.I already bought a psu 600w.Now the motherboard i am getting are the MSI x470 gaming plus with a 2600 non x version.

The cpu power connector are 8+4 which my psu doesn't have(Only have 8 pin)Usually the extra 4 are for extreme overclocking.Is this still the case as i am not planning to oc this cpu or does it require the extra 4 pins.

The CPU does not require the extra 4-pin power connector, the 8-pin should be more than enough. Some Gigabyte X470 motherboards only have an 8-pin CPU power connector.

ah tyvm.Only reason i am going for this mobo is its a bundle cpu/mem and mobo.Ty for the answer will be ordering it soon
