8 core 8350 ( 4 core ) 8 logical processors?

i seem to have noticed something weird going on with my AMD 8 core processor as it says in the title..

it seems to be running only 4 of my cores and not the full 8. is this normal? or did i miss something when i bought this. and its only 4 cores with 8 threads. i love my AMD and i always will love my AMD. i will NEVER be an intel fan regardless if they come out with some super processor . just curious to know if thats how my processor should be running.

It says that it is 4 cores 8 logical threads. I have a 8320 and it says the same thing. Windows recognizes the 8 core fx series cpus as having 4 cores and 8 logical threads

If you download amd overdrive and go into cpu usage you should see all 8 cores up and running

Amd has 4 modules, and in each physical module there are 2 physical cores, so 2×4 = 8

ok so is there a way that i can test my 8 core processor? its at 4.0 if i were to go up .1GHZ then the heat SKY ROCKETS. even with the water cooler by corsair the h100i

like 40- up to around 50 with a .1 increase

What settings did you make for the OC? 40c for stock is still pretty high. are you sure you install the cooler correctly?

yes. ive been building computers for 3-5 years now. i built my gaming pc. about a year ago. even with my corsair h60 water cooler. i had lower temps... i get this h100i my temps have been so out of wack. its dumb could it be a faulty. cooler? or may i of damaged my processor? somehow?
