Hey,

Computer specs
---------------------------------

Intel Core i7 920

Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard

Gskills 1.5v 1600 mhz DDR3 memory

ATI Radeon 4870X2

Zalman 850 watt Dual Heatpipe cooled Power supply

------------------------------------

Anyway, issue at hand is the 8 pin cpu/motherboard connector. My manual says it requires a 4/8 pin EATX 12v power supply connector. My power supply connector only produces 8 pin EPS 12v connector.

The 8 pin EPS 12v connector is split into 2 4 pin connectors, one complying with a 4 pin EATX 12v power connector. Plugged in, boots etc.

Just wanting to know is there anyway to get a 8 pin EATX 12v power connector, like any adapters or anything, because I plan to overclock pretty heavily, i just misjudged this part.

Thank you.

(I need to buy an extension cable for it because i modded my heatsink fans and now the 4 pin part of the EPS connector can't reach >.> so may as well kill 2 birds with one stone).

Using all 8pins (both halves) of the 4/8 pin EATX 12v power supply connector gets you what you need.

And you can get an 8" EPS 8 Pin Power Extension Cable similar to this one.

Yeah but 4 pins of the EPS12v fit into the 8 pin EATX on the motherboard...the other 4 are all shaved corners (or keyed). It cant plug into it
