Dear group,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200, when I try to use a memory stick with this
laptop I keep getting the error message

' Hi speed USB device plugged into a non-high speed USB hub'

Does anybody have any suggestions?

I was under the impression that USB 2 was backward compatible with USB 1 and
1.11.

It is. It's just telling you what you've done. Ignore it.

YOure trying to use a USB 2 device in a USB 1 slot all the O/S is telling
you is that this is the case and that you will only be able to transfer data
at the old USB 1 rate

If the message was the only problem then there would not be problem, it
seems that I cannot see the memory stick as a drive and every time I insert
it XP keeps trying to install a driver, which it does unsuccessfully.
