8370 Duel Core?? HELP!

I recently installed and amd 8370 into my system as well as an MSI 970a Krait. I am using the same hardrive from my last computer that had a 4 core (2 physical cores) proccesor. and it seems like the specs for my old cpu are somehow locking my 8370.

Did you check in the BIOS if all the cores are enabled? Maybe some of them are disabled. But it is really stange that CPU-Z nor task manager show the correct number of cpu cores and threads.

I tried what you said, all cores were already enabled, so I turned em off other than two, and then turned them all on. Didnt seem to work. Any other ideas?

Msconfig -> boot -> advanced options -> uncheck "number of processors" or "cores" if it's checked.
