Yes, Now OEMs! Build an ultrabook/etherbook (chipzilla TB->$$$$) with a 10 Gigabit ethernet port! Does anyone have any statistics on thunderbolt adoption?

it's only a matter of time when we see SSD's become the boot and main storage in utlra books. 240gb SSD's are already dipping below 200 dollars now which a size that large is adequate enough for most common users.

ME (talking to an empty chair): So, possibly it may be time for another HDD to come along and solve the problem of power usage in our ultra books.
IMAGINARY CLINT: .....
ME: So how do you plan on handling the problem of 2 hour battery life?
IMAGINARY CLINT:...
ME: Oh, so you dont plan on handling the problem? Well.... What do you mean shut up? I thought it was just because somebody had the stupid idea of running disk drives in every Ultra book for the next 10 years.

[citation][nom]ipwn3r456[/nom]"$4.40 for a 64 Gb chip"... How come we are still seeing $60 for a 64 GB SSD?[/citation]
You can do the math yourself: 8 x $4.40 = $35.20 just for the flash in your 64GB SSD. Then you add the board, controller, SATA port, casing etc. plus labor costs, marketing costs, transportation costs...

64 Gb = 8 GB (8 bits = 1 Byte). So the NAND flash for your SSD actually costs $35.20 like the other guy said.
