It is a bit cheaper and I can't find a 5850 for less then $340 with tax and shipping, if you can find me one by all means.

I also see people comparing the gtx 275 for the radeon 4890? which is considerably cheaper.

first do you live in Canada or US? If so I linked one above for Canada. Of you live in the Us I'm sure u can find a cheap one from somewhere around the net. The 4890 and gtx 275 trade blows and if you look you can prob find ones around the same price. IMO I'd rather have a gtx 275, but because of its price the 4890 is better.

I live in canada and from what I've seen the 275 is a solid $100 more then the 4890 I haven't been able to find any ones at a comparable price. The cheapest 5850 i've been able to find is $339.12 but it's out of stock.

It says it's out of stock for me and is MSI a good brand? I've always stuck with EVGA/XFX

msi is pretty descent brand, never had any issues with their OC 4890. Yea it says out of stock , but I went to their warehouse and they had 2 of them there for msi and I think 1 sapphire one. If you live near by just call em and ask.

You can get a hack (Win7 only) that lets you have an ATI card and use a dedicated nVidia card on the same system to handle PhysX

i'm on windows 7 but would it work on a nvidia mobo?

If I can find one that cheap I will probably go for it but if I can't what would be the next best thing, I even hear it is comparable to the 4890, except for dx11 support.
