An interesting tidbit of the GeForce 8800GTX are the two SLI bridge connectors towards the edge of the card. This is a first for a GeForce product as SLI compatible graphics cards typically have one SLI bridge connector.

Having two SLI bridge connectors onboard may possibly allow users to equip systems with three G80 GeForce 8800 series graphics cards. With two SLI bridge connectors, three cards can be connected without any troubles. NVIDIA is expected to announce its nForce 680i SLI and 650i SLI chipsets with the GeForce 8800 series. NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI and 650i SLI based motherboards are expected to have three PCI Express x16 slots.

I am wondering if I should upgrade my PSU to a OCZ 700W gamexstream from my current PSU (Dynex 500W PSU). I don't think the 500W will be enough to run this card or the R600 when it comes out so I guess time for another upgrade 🙁

I want to see ati's dx10 to but i don't think it'll be something special(i mean it'll probably perform very close to g80)

Prbably for most things, but there could be some interesting differences, I look to see that at high res/AA where the 512bit 1 GB memory (rumoured) would be nice.

Overall I don't suspect it to be much different than perhaps the difference between the GTS and GTX now.

I doubt that. 3 months to a refresh? That's pretty fast.

I'd suspect the refresh for the G80 to arrive in may/june at the earliest, if the R600 is delayed and arrives then, then perhaps you're right, but by the current timetable, a G81 in Q1 doesn't make much sense, which doesn't mean it won't happen, it's just unlikely.

Thething is by the time the R600 is slated to come out, nV is supposed to launch their mid-range, and ATi is supposed to launch their midrange at the same time as their high-end.

So hopefully by then you'll find a solution that you can safely put your money on.

As for the emoticons, I tell you man, google is the source for getting something fresh and new.

Those two other links should be good for a 'default collection'.
