890GXM-G65 need best processor

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my computer to have the best CPU for gaming.
I recently upgraded a few things so I want the CPU to match.

Motherboard: 890GXM-G65
PSU: Corsair 750 Modular Gold
Ram: 12g Corsair DDR3-1600
GPU: XFX R9 290 4GB
HDD: 500GB seagate
CPU: Phenom II x2 555 Dual core 3.2Ghz

Currently getting a Samsung 850 EVO 250g SSD on sale for 90 bucks + upgrading to Windows 10 next week and I want my CPU to be the best that fits my motherboard because I feel it is bottle-necking my GPU.

In order to use the FX8150 cpu you'll need to update the mobo bios and you need to have the old cpu working on the mobo to update the bios.

I did some research and came up with the FX-4170, would that be better for gaming as you can't utilize 8 cores in game and it has higher Ghz?

So I did some more research and it seems that the 1100T or the Phenom II x 4 980 black edition are the best that my mobo supports for gaming... Sold out on newegg though, what do?!! :O
