When i play any game, High demanding or Low such as BF4 - CS:GO my CPU runs at good temps (40C) but every 20 seconds my Voltage drops from 1.5 (stock voltage) to 0.8 for about 10 seconds and My frame-rate goes down with It a tremendous amount.. I've even under clocked My CPU And It Still Does It.

Asrock 970 extreme4
FX 9370 (No overclocks)
7970 (No overclocks)
1200W power supply.
Dominator GT 1866 Ram

Yes. It's quite possible that you're experiencing such things due to the CPU not being supported by the motherboard. However, it could be overheating as well - it might be throttling back to undervolted speeds to stop overheating. However I think it's more likely the latter. I suggest you check your gaming temps first and if nothing seems out of line, as in the temperatures are fine enough, then it would be the motherboard.

As far as motherboards go, I'm not sure which would support the FX 9370. Most likely it would be the higher end boards, ones using the 990FX chipset, that would support the CPU. However, they are a bit pricier.
I'm not exactly sure why this is happening. But, considering that on AsRock's website, there is no listed support for the FX 9370, I could imagine that would be a problem. I would also assume that being a 220 W TDP CPU, the motherboard, being a lower-end one with regards to the chipset, might have some trouble handling the FX 9370's higher clocks and wattage than say the 125 W FX 8300.

Might be worth checking the temperatures too.

I see... Well that's the next thing to try, a new motherboard. Any suggestions ?

Thanks for the quick reply, this problem is driving me crazy.
