Hey all, so I’ve been fighting with my old Samsung 960 EVO for awhile now. I ended up replacing this drive which was my primary C drive and haven’t used it in awhile. Recently remembered that it had all of my saved games on it so I wanted to recover them. I’m finding that the drive is detected in BIOS, the Samsung NVME Controller installation allows me to install the driver update (which points to the installer seeing the drive) but the drive itself doesn’t appear in either Disk Management or Device Manager.

I don’t know how this drive could have died, perhaps I damaged it when removing it from my PC a few months ago, but does anyone have any suggestions for recourse for me?

Solution
If you computer has USB 3.0, try to use an external case for your 960Evo.
