This pc was pieced together from a couple older systems. My friend just upgraded his graphics card and will give me his 9800gt if I can use it. Current build is as follows:

BIOSTAR A880G+ AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX Motherboard

AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz 95W Triple-Core CPU

4GB DDR3 SDRAM

Western Digital 500GB HDD

AZZA Dynamo 500 500W ATX 12V Ver 2.2 Power Supply

Windows 7 x64

I've just been using the onboard ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics so far. Will the 9800gt work with this build?

If so, will I see an improvement so far as gaming goes? I don't do a lot of gaming but occasionally League of Legends or Diablo 3 with friends...and I have terrible issues with Diablo 3 using onboard (have to play with lowest settings and lowest resolution).

Solution
+1 that the 9800GT will provide a big increase in gaming performance. Its definitely not going to give you highest settings on Diablo 3, but will let you go quite a bit higher depending on your resolution.

You will remain limited to Direct X 10 programs though (no Direct X 11). That shouldn't be too big of a deal - most games still work with DX 9 or 10.
