problem 1

ssd's

connecting second ssd causes both ssds to go undetected, sometimes the primary ssd boots normally but the second stays undetected. It happens randomly, sometimes both ssd's function normally for a month.

all ports and several cables tested,

problem 2

ram

2x4gb 1600cl9 dual channel ram has worked fine for years.
After upgrading to 2x8gb 2400cl11, Windows takes a minute to boot and is extremely slow.
i've tried setting the mhZ to the correct speed but it doesn't make a difference, also the voltage is set at the right setting of 1.65.

Now with the old ram back in, everything is still slow, what could have changed?
I reset all bios settings to default, cleared cmos, tested different ram slots.

I have long thought that the motherboard is faulty, if you have any doubt please tell me why. Thanks

Mind sharing your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Also, are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? If you're on Windows 10, see if a reinstall of the OS(after creating a bootable installer using Windows Media Creation Tools) changes the issue.< Prerequisite is that your BIOS up to date.

as for the os, the pc starts off slow before it even gets to the os booting stage, bios has a hard time loading itself. So I don't see how windows would be a problem.
