510
I currently have a 550 psu. I'm about to upgrade my gpu to a GTX 1070. I see a bunch of threads that say you need 750 or above and some say you can have as little as 450. I want to be sure if I have enough or need an upgrade.

Other notes that may help:
I have a dual monitor setup
I7-7700k Processor
Currently have a GTX 960
Using 2 HDDs
16 GB RAM

Okay, Update, turns out I was wrong about it being a 550 (I thought it was) it's a 500w but it an EVGA and I don't know what else to say about it so here's a link to what it is: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-WHITE-Warranty-Supply-100-W1-0500-KR/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1520635833&sr=8-3&keywords=EVGA+500+W1

Will it work? Yes. But if it were me, I would still replace it, because the quality of that specific model is blah. Below are two very good, but inexpensive choices; the first one is non-modular and the second one modular. Personally, I'd opt for the modular. Ultimately it is your choice.

Thanks for answering and stopping by but I think I came to my senses and just gonna decide to get a 750w of the same my friend is using. Money isn't an issue on one hand and enough watts to continue upgrading is what I'm looking for. I have no knowledge on good enough PSUs since every story I read on them is about having a monster ton to run these newer cards and I just don't want to end up burning a new card out right off the bat. Again thanks for answering and your time.

What PSU is your friend running? Just because it's currently working for him don't mean the model won't turn your system into a smoldering brick.

Your 500w Evga isn't the best unit, but it would power the system with a 1070(although I wouldn't suggest doing any overclocking).
