APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: In about a month!!

BUDGET RANGE: EURO'S 600/700

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT : surfing the internet, watching movies, burning movies, playing poker

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, speakers, (I have an old PSU 350watt of a very old machine I doubt that would work.

PREFERRED WEBSITE FOR PARTS: http://www1.hardwareversand.de/1VvlL5Hqp4_Dqk/home.jsp?lid=2 (I can order all from there it's only Euro 30 delivered)

PARTS PREFERENCES: Quadcore the rest I need help on.

OVERCLOCKING: NO

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Don't even know what that is.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Undecided on which monitors to get.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I would like a quiet PC, a nice tower with the lights blue inside it ( Yeah I know I sound like a 10 year old)

Ok so, basically I've started a computer course it's a short one about putting them together. I know how to put everything in but on parts and stuff like that's where I'm stuck.

I'm not a real pro now or anything so computer talk I won't really get.

But I'm after a nice build machine, as stated I play a lot of online poker so I'd like be able to hook two monitors up to my rig, I don't play any other games online. I just want a half decent machine as my old one was about 9 years old. I'd like to be able to play 2/3 tables on each monitor and play music at the same time in the background.

Any advice fire away!!

Considering your price range your best option would be the phenom 2 x4 940....honestly i would prefer an i7 for the tasks you do (multiple monitors and multiple programs and cpu intensive tasks running at the same time),but for your budget i would say the best price to performance option is the 940 (or even the 955 if possible),you will need a fast quad core with a good amount of cache and you will need nothing less than 4 gb of ram if not more, i am not too familiar with multiple monitors running on one system so i can't give you the best advice for graphics card...i am assuming that you might need a strong graphics solution for that but i culd easily be wrong, you will need some good amount of space, large capacity hard drives are cheap these days so try to go for the most you can get with the most amount of cache as well.

With that budget, you can get better value with an AMD (not Intel i7) and use the savings for a GTX 275. You'll want to game on at least a 24" monitor but if you decide on a 22" or less, a GTX 260 ot 4870 will be enough.

He hardly needs a GTX 260 or 275 or an ATI card of equal performance....WAY to much...damn did you guys even read what he wants to do?

You shouldn't need to spend much more than 60$ for a card....

Also i must suggest you pickup a trackball mouse....since you will be on a high res setup(i run three monitors) and my total res is 4200+....using a trackball is a whole lot more comfortable then any mouse....and since your just doing poker you don't need the advantages of a mouse....so a trackball should definitely be considered....i myself juse use an old logitech trackman and its amazing to say the least...
