a motherboard with 2 AGP slots?

I have a question,
Say I want to connect 2 monitors to my computer.
how do I do that?
I only have one AGP slot, do I really have to settle for a lousy PCI card for the seconed monitor?
does it make a defrence?
should I just buy an AGP card with 2 monitor outputs??
