Folks,

You are invited to try an early beta of this modification of HKMJ.
Download the file, create a new folder, and unzip the files into that
folder.
http://www.ninedragons.com/comj_beta.zip

All you need is Windows (XP, 2000, Millenium, 98SE), 1024x768 video, and
functioning audio.

This is, I repeat, a beta, but it already plays a good game and should
sharpen your skills before the next big tournament.

J.R., I thought you retired from updating your HKMJ game (one of the
BEST computer MJ games ever released). Good to see that you are still
in it and I will give this version a try when I have time. Thanks for
letting us play with your betas.

That's true, I have done all I can with HKMJ. So, moving on...

I'm intrigued by "new style" mahjong and I'm really pleased that Chinese
Official is quickly becoming the standard ruleset for pattern-based
games.

I enjoy the challenge of playing by these rules in my COMJ program, and
I'm looking forward to observing some of the competition in HK in
November.

J.R.

Is this a separate program from HKMJ?

Does the program come with the new rules?

Skip,

It is an adaptation of HKMJ1024. It will require the files from that
program (version 6 only).

I am now adding a Tournament mode. The whole thing should be ready in a
week or two.

There is a payment chart inside the program. For descriptions and
examples of the scoring elements, you will need the PDF copy of the C.
O. International Rules.
