First off ty to all who has helped me in the past on here.

http://
I found a motherboard that I bid on in ebay but im confused about ram.
It says DDR3 3100*(*O.C.)/ 3000*/ 2933*/ 2800*/ 2666*/ 2600*/ 2500*/ 2400*/ 2200*/ 2133*/ 2000*/ 1866*/ 1800*/ 1600/ 1333

Now does that mean all those types of DDR3 Ram are compatible? Or just the last two??

Solution
Yes, those last two speeds are the types of memory the motherboard is designed for.

If you want to run RAM which has faster speeds, you will need to overclock the system in the BIOS. If you can find stable voltages/timings, you can use the higher rated speeds. The faster you try to go, the more unstable your system will be. If you want those speeds, I recommend you get RAM rated at those higher speeds and then adjust the BIOS settings to run that fast.

If you want a stable and reliable system, stick with 1600. You probably don't need anything faster anyway, depending on the other specs you go with.
