"a service installation section in this INF is invalid" error

I am trying to install a Dell E2715Hm monitor on my Dell PC with windows XP home operating system. Whether I use the plug and play, or the install disk, I keep getting an error "a service installation section in this INF is invalid"

How can I properly install the drivers?

Try Dell's website for a clean copy of the monitor driver, but unlike drivers for other devices, a monitor driver is not essential anyhow. The monitor will still work without it's driver as it's strictly speaking not a driver in the true sense.
