So true.
While we could spend a lot of time talking about how much better the opterons are, by the end of that chat/day, more of the dc xeons will have sold, than bothe single and dual core opterons. Just another minor tragedy.

I guess you've been out of the loop. Amd has two things going against them. People's reluctance to change, and Intel's marketing tactics. Do what it likes, a real success from Amd would only make Intel more aggresive.
