Walter14 :
I need a computer for daily use. Rendering and some gaming. I already have zotac gt 740 for the gpu. If someone tell me to use i5 instead, i need to sell the gpu so i can afford it (and my local store only has gen3 i5 in stock). Sorry for bad english.
A10 for gpu performance... I3-4430 for cpu performance.
for strictly NO-add-on-GPU the amd is better (but uses more power). If you are going to add a gpu card the intel 4430 is better.
I have the i3-4330 (4MB cache) and am amazed that it "feels" the same while gaming on a gtx680 compared to using a fx8350.
BTW, i am biased towards Intel processors, i stopped buying AMD cpus after the fx8350 (well i did buy the 5150,5350 but was disappointed by the lack of performance in De-interlacing Mpeg2 1080i in mythtv )
(almost any intel cpu with a 1155 or 1150 socket does a better job due the linux drivers.)
The Ps4/XBOX1 are not good examples of AMD's superiority in CPU's because it is the software that makes the consoles superior. (Yes, Intel could not have done a better job because they are not a GPU company, also)
TL;DR... Budget wise you are better-off with an AMD a10... with INTEL you will need to add a GPU card to match the GPU power of the A10.
BTW an hd4600 in the i3-4430 is about the same as a nvidia GT630.
i prefer the intel processors because i am mainly need them for mythtv, and they are low power.
