Hi,
I have a AMD 2200+, the bios revision is 1010.
When i switch on my computer and go in the bios setup, the CPU temperature
shown is 75°C ... quite high ...
When i boot, the Asus Probe utility shown me a temperature of 45°C ... which
seems more acceptable ...
Can someone tell me temperature are shown ... i wonder wich one of the CPU
or my motherboard maybe be deficient ...

Are you certain the heatsink is installed properly ?
The heatsink can be rotated 180 degrees and installed.
When installed in one orientation, the contact area of
the heatsink lines up with the die - if you rotate the
heatsink, the heatsink is no longer lined up with the
die.

So, take the heatsink off, and verify the alignment.
Use a thin application of thermal compound on the die,
to fill the gap between the heatsink and the die. When
you reassemble the heatsink on the CPU, I think the
temperature will measure a lot lower.

Some of the A7N8X boards have a diode temperature sensor
chip. This chip amplifies and measures the small
voltage developed across the temp diode on the CPU die,
and will turn off the computer if the die temp reaches
around 85C or so. That is the circuit placed on the
board, to prevent the Athlon from burning up. If your
CPU was really that hot, it would probably crash.
