Is it possible somewhere in the BIOS to set the ultraDMA mode for the disc
drives (it is is possible with earlier Asus boards I've used - but can't find
this anywhere on the A7N8X)? If not, is there any other way to do this?

Mike,
If your using WinXP, check out the listing of your IDE ATA/ATAPI
controllers in Device Manager.
Should be tabs for Pri/Sec controllers on the nForce ATA controller.
Just uncheck the Let BIOS Decide box and set the mode manually. You may
need to update your drivers first! Get 'em here:

Thanks Rob - but I'm still stuck in the world of NT4 (arrrgh).
