A7V and AGP 2X Mode

I have an Assu A7V and an ATI AIW Radeon card. I am experiencing a problem with Win2K and the ATI card and ATI suggested that I disable 4X mode in the BIOS. I looked through the BIOS (version 1004D) and cannot find a setting to put it in 2X mode instead of 4X. All I have is a setting called:

AGX Strength [auto|Manual]

I am not sure what the heck this does. If anyone knows how to do this, or can shed some light on my problems I would appreciate it.

The setting you want to change is System Performance Setting, under the Advanced Tab in bios setup. Change this from optimal to normal. Hit F10 to save and reboot. Also, make sure fast-write is disabled, under Chip configuration.
Leave the AGP Drive Strength alone(leave in Auto) for this problem.
This will limit your AGP bus to 2x.
