A7V600-X - two questions

Can this board be used with PCI sound cards? The inboard sound is
pretty bad, and when I install my Creative Labs (SB0220 Live 5.1) the
machine won't' post.

I installed this board today, and would like to update the BIOS. Is
there a way to do this without using a floppy?

did you disable the onboard audio prior to install the pci card ?

sure, with asus live update.
