I've decided to upgrade my operating system to Windows XP Pro. Everything
worked fine, except for the RAID controller that stopped working totally.

Here's the BIOS tag I've recovered at startup:
4/14/2003-I850-W83627HF-6A69SA19C-DV

Right now I've got a yellow dot on the system hardware list. I've tried to
install the update file named DRV234 found on ABIT site, but it keeps saying
that the driver has been written under Win95 and is not suitable for use
with Windows XP

My current HighPoint-Tech HPT370-372 RAID controller is V.2.34. On the HPT
site I've found a BIOS update to upgrade to version 2.351...

Any suggestion about how to start RAID controller again?

No suggestions, rather encouragement. I just did a Windows XP Home
fresh install on the same board and everything went fine. The board I
did the install on was a new replacement for a TH-7 that was failing. I
found new TH-7's for $29.00 from one of the liquidators.

Procedure I used was to do the install with the hard drive on the IDE
controller. After the install I turned the RAID controller on in BIOS
and booted. Let XP "find" the new hardware, then I installed the driver
that came on the original CD in the box with the motherboard. I believe
I used the NT, or was it NT2000 ?, drivers and was only warned that they
were not digitally signed.
