about thermal paste

i want to change the thermal paste of my cpu, so can i put the new one with my finger to avoid falses contacts for my cpu?

No, dont use your finger like that.
There is large debate between spreading the thermal paste, or letting the heatsink pressure do it.
I personally recommend spreading it out with something like a credit card (any thin, clean piece of plastic works).
