About to pull the trigger on this build, can you give it a once over please?

OK, thanks to all your various suggestions over the past month or two, I have finally created this build, to serve as a gaming computer for my son, who wants to play COD, CS GO, Minecraft etc at 1080 ... and record videos of his gaming for YouTube

If you have a second, can you let me know if this is looking good?

I have some SSD drives and a monitor/keyboard.

Anything look out of place or low quality?

I want to start ordering components this week.
thanks!

Just for the Role-playing of it, I laugh with fake condescension at a Red and Black themed build, with a team-green (nVidia) GPU.

In honesty, not bad at all. (Though I do like the Strix R9 390 from Asus, the 970 is a good card.)

Like others, I look as the PSU first since that isn't anything to skimp on, in this case the SuperNOVA passes cleanly.

That case looks like it could be fun to build in, with a large area to hide cables.

Thanks guys. Speaking of cables, do you think everything I on this list will come with the appropriate cables and lengths to work with this case and to allow hiding the cables?

I'd hate to ordered everything and this weekend get ready to build and find I only have an 8 inch SATA cable and I need a 11 inch one or something.

JAs is that really a noticeably better processor? And what motherboard do you recommend for it?
thanks!

Ok, how's about this build now?

crap!
Sorry, you didn't say it was a time sensitive thing!
drat...

I looked shortly after you posted, and I didn't see anything about a special offer on the B&H link you posted. Not saying it wasn't there, just that I couldn't see a reference to the deal.

The only problem you may have is the number of SATA cables. The MB comes with 2, if you need more, you'll have to buy them. The drive bays are on the bottom of the case, which is where the SATA ports on the MB are.

The SuperNOVA's cables will be plenty long enough, with the case design helping you to hide the excess.

Ahh, I don't go to reddit, and your original link was to B&H, but, yeah, that was a much better solution, and would have saved the OP about $10 USD. (OK $40)

Your numbers are off too. 310, not 369, so it's 40 not 10.

Your melodramatics are amusing though.

No, it WAS there. I blew it.
I'm gonna call BH and cry and see what happens

Ahh, didn't see that, but it was late, and I was amused. No problems here.

See ya around.
