AC Adapter for Seagate external hard drive 1tb

i have seagate expansion external drive.

S/N: 2GHMMWYH
P/N: 9SF2A4-500

having a problem with the ac adapter and no more power after years of using it.

it was wa-18h12 ac adapter:
input: 100-240v - 50-60Hz 0.5A Max
output: 12v ---- 1.5A

if i buy a universal ac adapter would my external hdd will work out again?

as long as you can find the right voltage and the proper plug, it should work just fine.
I have used universal units with myriad plug ends and selectable voltages. I think one of these would work.

make sure you get one that allows you to select the Voltage and the Amperage.
you should be able to set it to what you need.
