Access denied! help me!

Hello,
i used lock a folder program. but later it said that folder couldn't be unlocked. now i can't see folder at all. no matter if i uncheck boxes of show system folders and files... and when i use cmd it says access denied.. i am administrator.. i tried takeown command and icacls but still it says access is denied... hell i need this files can someone help me?

From looking at the hash error "silverliquicity" posted, it looks like SHA1 is the type of encryption. Google SHA1.

Guna have a look at the source for loopholes or something seeing as it seems to be a dodgy bit of software, il post if i find anything that might help poor old jetro

i agree, the bit that is supposed to decrypt isn't doing its job, attempting to re-write is an option... anyone want to have a go at that?

Also if that part of the HDD is encrypted, then that will cause other issues if the drive is going to be formated at any point in the future.

Yes, I would think attempting a format would just fail. SHA1 stands for Secure Hash Algorithm 1. There maybe software that can DeCrypt SHA1.

hey guys you make me think you are my saviors ... i will wait just as much as you guys want to figure solution out 🙁( it will be like destroying a part of my life 🙁( because i am writer and photographer and all my work is in the folder 🙁 🙁 🙁

Tried a data recovery company? A mate of mine runs one here in the UK and they have all sorts of crazy programs/machines they can use to extract data. It might be worth speaking to one or two different companies to see if they can have ago. I know quite a few of them work alongside the police and are used to busting encryption software to extract evidence.

Not sure if that can help, but maybe loading a Linux Live CD you can read and copy your data ?

a downside, we cant post any actual programs which will crack SHA1 encryption as that's against forum rules
