I just installed Vista Ultimate but kept my XP installation on a second drive. Vista is on a SATA drive but XP is on an IDE drive. For some reason I cannot get the XP to run. I am not too worried about the operating system, but I cannot get access to any of the data created in Windows XP. I understand that if I want a dual boot, I'll have to start all over agian and install XP first - OUCH! Is there an easier way to gain access to my data files in the XP drive ?
Thanks. :ange:

The XP installation did not see my XP drive ! I have a Gigabyte MB that has only one IDE slot and the XP drive is on the IDE slot. The Vista is one an SATA slot- is this the reason why the drive for XP was not shown ?

Thanks Scott. It is enabled because I can see the drive in Vista. But when I stat the XP setup the only options allowed is the Vista drive -the XP drive is not shown.
Thanks.
