Question Access denied

Storage: Seagate Free Agent GoFlex; Operating system: Windows 10. I plugged my external hard drive into a ty to watch movies while I deleted a lot of the old files. I conducted a system cleanup, etc. When I plugged the hard drive back into the computer I receive an "Access delined" message. My pc detects the drive, webroot security can scan the drive, but I have zero access to the drive to include trying it with other pcs. The stupid part is I can still plug the drive into a TV and watch movies and see photos, just not documents. Any help is appreciated.

To be clear, you had the external drive connected to the TV, streaming a movie, while you were deleting files and performing cleanup on a PC not connected to either of the previous devices (TV and Ext Drive)?

Correct. I plugged it back into the PC when the movie was over and immediately got the access denied message.
