Access point static ip

Is it better to assign a ip outside of dhcp range or just assign one within the range? I am really confused. which is better and why? Thanks guys

You should assign one outside of the DHCP range so DHCP doesn't assign a client the ip for your AP.

Ok. And I know that I should select Channel 1 6 or 11 with 2.4 ghz buy what about 5 ghz? Should I just leave on auto?
