Accidently turned on newly built PC without plugging in the 8 pin EATX cable.

I accidental turned on the PC without plugging in power to the CPU. It ran for around 10 mins but it didn't boot. When I realised I held the power button down to force shut it down but now it doesn't start. I plugged in the power to the cpu but nothing turns on. Did I kill the mobo?

Specs:
ASUS z87-a
Gtx 770
Xfx 650w psu
I5 4670k

I assume you already turned off the psu, hold the power button for 10 secs. Wait, then turn psu on and boot again with the cables plugged in?

Ok so I jumped the motherboard power plug using a paperclip and a fan turned on, so it's not the power supply. I'm guessing something happened to the mobo or the power switch.
