Acer 5100 hard drive replacement.

I am installing a new 320gb HD into an Acer 5100. My question is how can I do a fresh install from the original "D" drive partition? The original "C" & "D" drives are available and working and I'm thinking that using it as an external USB drive enclosure I could copy the old "D" partition to the new "D" partition and restore from there. Will this work?

I tried to install a 320GB HD and it would'nt work. The Acer tech said that the bios wouldn't accept a hard drive larger than a 120GB. Good Luck

You could clone your drive using Acronis Migrate Easy. If you search in youtube you'll find instructions.
