Acer E5-511P Touchpad

Hello,

I recently reinstalled Windows 8.1 on an Acer E5-511P. Once the install was completed I did have to reinstall the network driver for internet access. So I did download the network drive from the Acer website - perfect, works fine. However, I downloaded the driver for the touchpad and for whatever reason the touchpad will NOT work! (I CAN plug a mouse in and that works fine). Touchpad was JUST working 20 minutes earlier before the reinstall - so I know it's NOT a hardware failure. I Have searched and searched but can't find the answer! If anyone HAS any insight PLEASE let me know! Thanks!

Windows restart (sometimes that's all that's required to fix relatively small glitches)?

Unplug external mouse before Windows reloads.

Hello! So you suggest I just do the same thing again and reinstall Windows?

Ok, I DID to a reset on Windows - and still no go on the touchpad. Just don't understand. WAS working 20 minutes before I reinstalled Windows! I even installed the Driver and it said "ready to use" even! So I am just baffled!
