And I am wanting to purchase http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103681

Would this CPU be able to fit/run on my motherboard?

Hello and welcome to the forums
No you can't use it,because that motherboard supports Intel socket 775 motherboards,whereas the CPU is an AMD model.

need m/b manual for that board, anyone has help, trying not to guess pin assignments and the board has poor marking.... (Acer x1700 / Acer x1800) Intel 775, AMD one might be ok too
