Add 8 more GB or sell and buy 2x8g ?

Hello guys , i have these
CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 2x4gb and i want to add 2 more of the same.
Is it worth? Or i should sell them and buy 16gb? Or can i add 1x4gb and go to 12gb? Is that possible?

If your motherboard has enough dimm slot yes it is possible to add 4gb more but if you really need 16gb i recommend 8x2 for more speed dual channel.

Go with a 2x8GB, there's no guarantee whatever you get to try and 'add' will work with your current sticks, even if you get an identical model set
