Anyway, anyone like instagib? I played it since UT beta 1, was getting quiet good in it.

I like instagib, its a fun change from the norm. I am still wondering when we are all going to get on a server and play? I am available pretty much anytime after 5 MST.

w00t!! I beat 16 Godlike bots last night in Hyperblast. Tried to get a screenshot and my computer froze
I'll try to get another one, but didn't feel like going through all the emotional strain again.

go to your unrealtournament.ini file
go down to the player mode areas.
change min players to 32.

THEN see how long u survive on hyperblast!

32 bots on hyperblast, what do you all stand hand in hand just waiting for someone to fire a rocket.......and boom!!! here's an easy monster kill.....numbers aren't what makes this difficult, i don't think you could even know what's going on around you with 32 bots in a small map.
just try hyperblast with like a "normal" number of bots godlike.
i just want to see you and your hamster in hyperblast with 32 bots......oups i guess you'll become history just before i could even start the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

smart bots, well i don't really agree, i would say they aren't really, you could easily be playing hide and seek with another bot each one of you firing and then hiding just waiting for the other to stand up and fire in his turn and the bot will still do that...without thinking, or acting quite smart, so you just need to strafe left and hit it differetnly for exemple, and here he gets smaked by your shot...but the thing that makes them really powerful is the fact that after the masterfull level the damage you inflict on them is seriously less than what they could do to you...a close flak shot used to be fatal, but now you need 2 just to kill a bot, while he with a single shot, even if it didn't hit you 100% will kill you7 directly....

And name one game with better AI than UT.

yeah, xan is like a really good bot...
and i think with the new UT patch, it's bots are really good.
but with the tactical ops, you could feel that they aren't really really thinking, it's like they do this and that's it...just memorise it and you'll have no problem.

I would have made the assumption that 99% of the posters would have finished UT by now and therefore played Xan. He's got good AI but his voice and comments got right up my nose.

if just his voice and comments are just up your noise this will be just fine, but the problem with xan is that every -peep- thing he fires is just right up your -peep- .

Tactical ops? Why are you saying the AI in a specific mod sucks? I never use TO anymore.

well, while playing TO against bots, wich i did just when i bought it and then one of the reasons i stoped laying it was because of it's AI , and beleive me you could feel so repetitive yourself because of the really repetitive bots in TO, UT developpers tried to make them smarter by creating 2 or 3 ways in wich they could think but that's it, no bot could hide and uses the sniper silently, or could hide behind something waiting for the right moment to kill...they just rush out to the location and here goes the shooting...i don't think that's pretty smart.

Of course not, but there aren't any games that are any better. You have to exclude single-player modes, of course. Not fair to compare UT when there's no set pattern, when you could have a different game where you have to walk down this hall after hitting this switch, etc. and then the four-armed monster is waiting behind a certain pillar.

I was unemployed for about 2 months a year ago... know whats a really good way to kill a whole lotta free time?? killing people!! playing 5+ hours a day for a month or more makes you pretty damn good, so bring it bitches!! actually i havent played much as of late and im pretty rusty, but it'll come back! damn diablo II has taken me away from my UT!
