Hi all,
I just ordered an MSI GEFORCE GTX1080 TI AERO card, and then read about how loud these blower type cards are...The card cost me about $420 plus tax. I'm reading now that I could add a nice aftermarket cooler to the card, and a popular one is the Raijintek Morpheus Core. It looks like you have to buy that cooler, as well as two 120mm fans. All in, that would add at least another $100. Does anyone think it's worth trying the blower card, and then adding cooling, or just finding another used 1080 TI for around $500 - $525?
Any other supplemental cooling methods you can think of that would prevent this card from sounding like a jet engine? I haven't received it yet, but i'll be testing it on Thursday. I'm not a gamer, but an editor, and the only time the GPU will be under full load is during exports.
Thanks for your help!
Dan
