Current system:
Quad Q9400
Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo
OCZ 600W
Sapphire HD 3870 (but have Gigabyte GTX-460 1gb on order, delivered this week)
4gb (2x2) G-Skill DDR2-1200 (PC2-9600 - #F2-9600CL5-2GBPI))
Win 7 Pro 64-bit

I have the memory installed in A1-B1 slots and have A2-B2 open.

I have in my possession 2 gb (2x1) of Patriot DDR2-1200 (PC2-9600 - #PVS22G9600ELKN).

I plan on playing flight sims (Rise of Flight); racing games (F1 2010) and Diablo III whenever it sees the light of day.

Here come the noob questions:
1. Do you recommend installing the two sticks Patriot?
2. In slots A2-B2?
3. Assuming I install for a total of 6gb, would overclocking be worthwhile?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome Newcomer! :)

Keep the Yellows as one pair and the Black as the other pair. But it will be interesting if they'll work no matter what DIMM slot they're installed in.

Besides getting to work at all, I wouldn't try to OC an mix-matched pair. Be very happy if they will work period.
