adding pci cards and RAM usage

Hi,

Does anyone know how much system memory, if any, is consumed by Windows XP Pro when you're adding a pci add-on card?

I am adding a SATA controller card to my new system to accommodate two new drives and am wondering what the "hit" is going to be.

There should not be any consumed per se as the address space for the PCI slot is already reserved by XP. Actual memory and CPU usage will rely on the card and how much you are using the drives attached to that controller.
