I made a system with an HDD, and have now got an SSD to add to it. This was intended for the OSs (I'm running Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04), and a few of my more important/more used programs. The rest I was going to keep on the original HDD. How would anyone reccomend doing this?
Thanks in advance!

Applications that are installed on the old HHD will just need to be reinstalled on the new SSD. Installed applications have ties to the registry on that drives OS.

Use this method to move over data files and just reinstall applications as needed.
Create a full backup of your HHD. You can back it up to an external disk or something similar. You can try using a free program like Veeam Agent for Windows. It's a very good, free backup program.

After that you can remove the old HHD, install new SSD. Install fresh copy of Windows 10, reformat HHD and readd HHD to system as a secondary drive. You than can then recover from backup media to either disk of your choosing.

Another option would be to remove the old HHD, install the new SSD with Windows, then add the old HHD via usb adaptor to the system and manually copy off data you need to the new SSD, then format the HHD and manually reinstall as secondary disk in system. Then copy whatever data back to the HHD after its been formatted.

In either case, the old HHD should be reformatted to ensure there is not dual booting issues and to remove old, no longer used partitions.

That all worked great, up to the part where I need to copy off all the data I need to the new SSD. When I try to copy over the application 'Epic Games Launcher', first of all it seems not to have fully copied, as not all of the files are inside the folder. Second of all, I cannot delete this folder. Nothing happens when I try to drag it into the bin, or simply click 'delete'. Just nothing. Any ideas?
