I successfully upgraded from P1.90 to P3.40 and I get full memory speed (X470 Master SLI/ac) now. I added 2 more memory sticks (16gb each, ddr4 pc4-21300, DIMM dual-rank) for a total of 64 GB. The P3 BIOS recognizes all of the RAM sticks, but after bootup, task manager shows I'm only getting 32 GB of memory, from the original Kingston chips. Is there a way to set the BIOS so Windows 11 utilizes/recognizes the additional RAM? Also, is there a Memory Remapping Option in BIOS P3.40?

In my BIOS under Advanced tab, AMD CBS, UMC Common options, then DRAM Memory Mapping. DRAM Memory Mapping has 6 options: Chipselect Interleaving, BankgroupSwap, BankgroupSwapAlt, Address Hash CS, SPD Read Optimization. There is no other Memory Mapping folder in my BIOS that I can detect, unless it's under some other name. Which of these areas would I need to update for the added memory sticks to operate in Win 11? Thank you kindly.

Frank

Good morning Sir,

Here is my hardware as requested:

MOBO: X470 Master SLI/ac
Processor: AMD RYZEN 7 2700X EIGHT-CORE PROCESSOR
Drives: Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB / WDC WD6003FZBX-00K5WB0

Old memory: Kingston ValueRAM 16GB (1 x 16GB) DDR4 2666 MHz DRAM (Desktop Memory) CL19 1.2V DIMM (288-PIN) KVR26N19D8/16 Total RAM is 32 GB (2 memory sticks)

New (compatible): 1062ms-1062 - 16GB DDR4 PC4-21300 2666MHz DIMM NON-ECC Unbuffered 288pin 1.2V CL15 Dual-rank,
purchased from MemoryStock: https://www.memorystock.com/memory/ASRockX470MasterSLIac.html (4 sticks purchased).

With BIOS P1.90, I noticed I was only getting half of the total RAM (1333 MHz) out of of my memory sticks (in Win Task Manager). I added 2 of the new memory sticks. The BIOS recognized all 64 GB of memory and so did task manager. To correct the speed problem, ASRock support instructed me to update BIOS to P3.40. This corrected the speed problem. Although the BIOS update still recognized all the RAM sticks, task manager only recognized 32 GB. I most likely need to update my new BIOS settings, but I'm not sure which ones. I'm awaiting a reply to a new ticket with ASRock Support.

Thank you kindly,

Frank

First of all, reset your BIOS to factory settings and CMOS
After that upggrade your bios to last 10.31
Although it is beta, Ashrock has been using it for almost a year and everything is stable without problems, don't be afraid, that's why it hasn't released a "stable bios"
Then you come back in and tell us what happened.
