Windows 10 / PC -

- At the usual command prompt, this message:

- "This command required administrative privileges and must be executed from an elevated command prompt.

- I am the sole user of this PC and already have administration privileges.

- Why does the command prompt not already recognize that?

- So how do I get to the elevated command prompt?

Thank you / appreciated.

Right click on command, select run as administrator.

This is a safety feature. Least User Access, even if you are an administrator, you still have to invoke administrator access. User Account Control which causes prompts for elevation is a way to prevent automated actions from taking place without user interaction. It is not recommended to disable UAC even for a personal computer.
